" Reaching Up "
Mural is painted on a wall along Cannon Street. It is located across the street from Anak-Anak Kota Clubhouse, and within a short walking distance to Khoo Kongsi and the Acheen Street Mosque. The painting depicts a little boy reaching for a hole in the wall. He appears to be standing on a chair and inching himself as high as he could reach. Painted by artist Ernest Zacharevic. 

 





" Little Children on a Bicycle "
Mural on the wall of a shophouse on Armenian Street, George Town. It's one of the two murals along that street painted by London-trained artist Ernest Zacharevic. In conjunction with the 2012 George Town Festival. It depicts a little girl taking her younger brother on a bicycle ride. The joy in their faves echoes down the street, providing a ray of cheer and adding character to Armenian Street.


" Boy on a Bike "
By the same artist of " Little Children on Bicycle ", 
This is his another mural on the wall along Ah Quee Street. 


" Skippy Comes to Penang "
Skippy is often called simply as the Giant Cat mural, is one of 12 murals depicting cats and dogs that will grace the walls along George Town. It is a project called 101 Lost Kittens, the work of a group of artists which calls themselves ASA, or Artists for Stray Animals. This is one of the murals being painted to create awareness of the need to protect animals and get people to foster a love for pets.


Skippy along Cannon Street

" Brother and Sister on a Swing "
We have created a new mural " Husband and Wife on a Swing ", Pardon me, Ha Ha! Back to the real mural as it was drawn by a young local deaf-mute artist Louis Gan. It graces the wall of the printing warehouse in an alleyway off Chulia Street Ghaut. 

" Susu Soya Asli and Segar"

This mural is just along the same alleyway off Chulia Street Ghaut, which is next to " Brother and Sister on a Swing " mural. The painting depicts an olden days soya bean milk seller, the children are happily eating and drinking the soya bean.

 

" Girl with Floating Bottle Balloons "
The mural depicts a girl holding on to a floating plastic bottles. It can be found at the back wall of a building. We discovered this when we are walking towards Penarakan Museum from our hotel.


There are quite a few of murals or street arts that we have yet to discover or explore, as they are  scattered around in George Town.
